Christmas 2011

What a year it has been...busy is an understatement. This goes down in the records for the worst year for posting ever but a really good year for Boulder. 2012 is going to be pretty busy too by the looks of things. Which I am not complaining about by no means but maybe I can manage my time better so as to keep myself doing at least a doodle a month for the blog. Amonst other creative things I have been working on and slowly but surely hope to share early in the New Year.

Happy Christmas to everybody who stops by and I look forward to what the New Year has to hold.
I have so much up me sleeve....

Is there anybody out there ?!?!

 Hello...hello...hello......hello
Is there anybody still out there?!?
Well, I wouldn't be suprised if there wasn't after the absence of posts over the last 3 months or longer. So I am going to try incredibly hard to post more artwork and in the meantime distract you with some megga cute pictures I took of my best pal Ben. Isn't he too cute :)

Why the absence? Well Boulder finished up on Gumball and has been preparing for a new "Big Project" that will be starting very soon. All very exciting with alot of new staff starting in the next few months and a newly renovated studio. All very exciting indeed. Time just seems to be passing too quickly and mulitasking has become a bit of a talent for quite a few of us here!

So hope to post something soon and keep up with more regular artwork. I always said I wouldn't let the blog go...and I ment it.

Introducing Mr David O'Sullivan

Just to let people know a very good friend of mine Dave O'Sullivan has his own website up and running. So go check out his drawings and paintings, they are FAB! He uses his little nieces as subjects for his paintings and has had an exhibition in the Oisin Gallery recently. I went to college with Dave and then worked along side him in Boulder for about 10 years. He is now growing a rather large beard and spends his days drawing and painting, doing a mighty fine job too by the looks of things.

Belated Paddy's Day Greeting

Just a little belated Paddy's Day picture(don't have the net at home to post things, living in a cave I am). Not very Paddy's day themed but you do get bored looking at the stereotypical red haired drunkards, holding a pint of Guinness dancing about with a leprechauns hat on.

Happy Paddy's Day Yesterday!

Bull Terrier Sketches

Finally some drawings :)

It's a Wrap

It is well overdue I know but here's a quick update on "The Amazing World of Gumball". On the 15th January at 5pm Bouldermedia finished work on the first series of Gumball, for Cartoon Network. I would like to say a big gigantic NICE ONE to all of the people especially at Boulder who worked their asses off to get this show completed. When I said before the show looks amazing....it's seriously looks amazing. I can't wait for the airing to see how it is received, very exciting stuff. I have been lucky enough to have seen the final fully finished episodes one by one and each one gets better and better. That's all I can really say about that. So sit tight (till September, I am told) and look forward to "The Amazing World of Gumball".
Here is an article that was writen on the Animation Ireland website about the show if your interested.

Oh No!

I had promised myself I would post more and more this year and sure would you look, not a dicky bird or not a "yellow bird" as the case may be at all since last year...disgraceful carry on. I have lots of excuses but whats the point in wafflin on about them, it still doesn't change the fact there is no new art here!!!

So instead I am going to tell you, visitor, about this...
Last year I decided to do a little bit of good for some animals and became a volunteer at the Dogs Trust rehoming centre. They are a great bunch of people, who work very hard to make better lives for all the dogs that walk through their doors and let me tell you it is far more dogs then people would believe. Some of the dogs have been very badly mistreated, abandoned or have lost their owners through old age etc. The Dogs Trust tries to rehome as many dogs as they can possibly squeeze in to good loving new homes. It is a very tough but a rewarding job. I thought I would just mention them and all the good work they do. So if you know anyone looking for a new dog, maybe try the nearest animal shelter/dog pound and give these guys a second chance. Here is just one of the fellas Dogs Trust have up for rehoming at the moment and if I could, I would take him myself in a heartbeat. Luah is a 4 month old Bull Terrier and probably one of the cutest Bull Terriers I have ever seen.

So there you go, until next time....with some drawings and maybe, just maybe, a sneek peek at a new little project I have up my sleeve.
